Blue Stallion Oktoberfest 2019

It’s our favorite time of year for the Blue Stallion Crew. Celebrate Oktoberfest with Lexington’s only German-style brewery! This year’s Oktoberfest celebration goes from September 27th to October 6th. Bring your lederhosen and dirndl, we will!

Here’s a full schedule of events for the 2019 lineup:

Friday, September 27th – Release of our Oktoberfest lager and limited-edition ceramic steins ($20 each)! Bring yours back for $4 refills all Oktoberfest long! Hang out with us and Dad’s Favorites Deli during their cookout, and find Nappy Roots here for a tour with Lexington on Tap Tours at 9:15! [FB Event]

Saturday, September 28th -True Crime: Serial Killers Zwei (II) at 7:00 plus $8 liters of select Blue Stallion beers all day! [FB Event]

Sunday, September 29th – Wake and Bake Food Truck’s making burgers during Bob’s Burgers Trivia at 6:00! Stick around to watch the season premier with us on the big screens! [FB Event]

Monday, September 30th – We’re hosting March Madness Marching Band as this week’s Mission Monday! Come listen to their awesome music on the patio with us! [FB Event]

Tuesday, October 1st – Pair Forage Food Truck wings with Peril hot sauce! We’ll have spicy beers on tap for Test Batch Tuesday! [FB Event]

Wednesday, October 2nd – Infusion night! We’ll be running a favorite Blue Stallion beer through our randall to create an entirely new experience!

Thursday, October 3rd – It’s October 3rd and Mean Girls Trivia starts at 7:00! [FB Event]

Friday, October 4th – We’re releasing our Purple Patchwork Sour Lager with Blackberries in support of the Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning’s The Color Purple fundraising event! Plus, Liter Nacht continues for the weekend, and Dad’s Favorites Deli will be firing up the grill! [FB Event]

Saturday, October 5th – How many liters of Oktoberfest is too many liters of Oktoberfest? (Okay, please do not attempt to answer this question.) Be responsible with your $8 fills!

Oktoberfest Beer Release to Kick Off Festival

Blue Stallion Oktoberfest Beer Release and Festival

It’s that time of year again! Our annual Oktoberfest festival starts September 19th. That’s also the day we’re releasing this year’s Oktoberfest beer in the taproom. Unlike last year, we were able to brew enough of this seasonal lager to distribute across Lexington and central Kentucky. Distribution for our Oktoberfest lager will begin on Monday September 22nd. Be sure to ask for it at your favorite bar, restaurant or craft beer hang out!

Because last year was such a huge success, we’re adding another week onto the celebration. Our festival now matches up with the world famous celebration in Munich, Germany, running from September 19th to October 5th.

We have a lot of great things planned for this year. The staff and owners will be donning traditional dirndls and lederhosen again. Plus we’ll have authentic Bavarian pretzels from Bluegrass Baking Company paired with Olivia’s Beer Cheese made with our Oktoberfest beer. Live music is also scheduled for the weekends. For food this year, we decided to turn the reigns over to the experts. The best food trucks in Lexington will set up during our 17 day long celebration, including Gastro Gnomes, Fork in the Road, Rolling Oven, Lyles BBQ, Minton’s 760 and Ellos on Broadway. We’ll have 2 food trucks at a time on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cornhole Tournament to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

2nd Annual BCC Cornhole Tourney

September 29th, 2013

Blue Stallion Brewing is proud to partner with Blue Core Charity to host a cornhole tournament to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The tournament will be held on the first Sunday of our Oktoberfest celebration. Registration will begin at 11:00am on Sunday Sept. 29th, 2013. To pre-register your team, contact J. Morgan Klingshirn at 859-382-9576. The tournament will begin at 1:00pm.

All are welcome! Registration is only $30 per 2 person team.

50% of all entry fees will support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The rest will make up hundreds of dollars in 1st and 2nd place prizes!

It’s that time of year! Time to mark your calendar for the 2013 Blue Stallion Brewing Oktoberfest celebration.

Join us starting September 27th for the festivities. We’ll be tapping the first kegs of our very own authentic Oktoberfest bier that day.

The real action will be on the weekends: September 27th – 29th & October 4th – 6th

We have a limited amount of the Oktoberfest bier on hand, so when it’s gone, it’s GONE!

We’ll also have traditional Bavarian-style pretzels made right here in Lexington. The staff and owners will even be decked out in lederhosen and dirndls! And rumor has it we have live music scheduled for Saturday 9/28.
