Ya Damn Skippy & Justa P’haze Limited Can Release

We’re happy to announce our next limited release canning run! In addition to Dunkel and Helles, we’re also adding Ya Damn Skippy (peanut butter porter) and Justa P’Haze (New England-style IPA) to the mix. Now you can bring your favorite Blue Stallion beers with you anywhere! 6-packs will be available in the taproom on Friday, August 10, 2018. Dunkel and Helles will be available at your favorite local retailers about a week after that. Ya Damn Skippy and Justa P’Haze will only be available in the taproom.

If you’ve been drinking our beers for any length of time, then you’re probably already familiar with two of our flagships, Dunkel (a dark malty German-style lager) and Helles (a crisp refreshing golden German-style lager). Some of you may not have tried a few of our newer beers, so here’s a refresher.

Ya Damn Skippy is a robust porter with peanut butter coming in at 5% ABV. Using a porter as a base for the peanut butter gives you a beer that’s roasty and meshes terrifically with the peanut butter flavors, but doesn’t have a heavy or overly-sweet mouthfeel like a stout.

Justa P’Haze is our New England-style IPA coming in at a hazy 6.8% ABV. Made with Ekaunot, Mosaic, and Citra hops, this juicy IPA is sure to satisfy your thirst for haze. We’re canning it the day before it goes on sale to ensure it’s as fresh as possible.

Blue Stallion releases first beer in cans!

It’s been a long time coming. The day is finally here: You can get your own Blue Stallion beer in cans! We canned a limited run of both Dunkel and Helles recently. To celebrate the event, starting Thursday, May 24th, you can purchase 6-packs of both beers at the Blue Stallion taproom for $9 each all through Memorial Day weekend. The price will sneak up a bit after Memorial Day.

Our first canning was done with a mobile canning line, so we consider this to be a limited release for both Dunkel and Helles. We’ll have 6-packs of both beers for sale in the taproom until they’re gone. We also sent out some pallets of Dunkel cans to our distributor in the Central Kentucky area. As soon as we’re aware what store shelves they’ll be on, we’ll let you know!

We’ll send out announcements about future canning runs and a move to more permanent production. Prost!
